The famous oboe player Marcel Ponseele commissioned to dr. Piet Jozef SWERTS a new work of substantial length (22') which was an artistic answer to and communication with the Gran Partita of W.A.Mozart. The orchestration of Swerts' Serenata therefore is identical to Mozarts. Further, each movement utilizes thematical material of Mozarts oeuvre or makes at least reminiscences to it. The first performance was by Ponseeles ensemble Il Gardellino. The present set is for contemporary instruments, but on request can be added extra parts for historical instruments, especially for the horn parts. Full set available.
