Swerts composed this flute solo piece when he visited the very old Antiga Catedral (first century after Ch.) in a Portugese village named Idanha-a-Velha. His collegue, the flutist Berten D'hollander took then his flute and performed there in that empty church Debussy's Syrinx. This magical moment inspired Swerts to compose this impressionistic piece.
